HOMEWORK 5: (reviewed by Michael Reisman, Linda Sprinkle )
Merge cells to duplicate colspans and rowspans from table_sunset sample.
Insert numbers 1–22, styling each with appropriate attributes (color, emphasis, justification) according to sample
When you design your table in Layout View and add an Autostretch
Column, what do you think is the most appropriate content for that
column? Image, Flash File, Text? Think about this and post your
thoughts and why to the forum. Discuss with classmates.
Create
3 tables and insert different content in each of the Autostretch Column
for that table. Autostretch lets the content of the cell adjust to the
user's browser width. (please note that the three items below refer to
an older file).
Add text data to 3 cells and add a background color to one cell (bottom autostretch table).
What is the Expanded button on the Layout Group of the Insert Bar? Use Dreamweaver help to find out. The
Expanded Tables mode makes it easier to select inside and around
tables. This mode does not display tables the way a browser dpes.
Before moving or resizing table elements in is necessary to return to
Standard mode. If you have time, develop a page using the
layout feature in DW, create some editable regions, and save it as a DW
template (.dwt file).
Border="0". Designing tables
with a border equal to zero creates an invisible table when previewed
in the browser. Create a borderless table, similar to teh one
used to nest the images in the borderless table in the tutorial.
Think
about....How would you create an outline border for a table if you
didn't want the interior cell borders to be visible? In other
words, if you only wanted the outline of the table to have a
border. Post your suggestions to the appropriate discussion area
if you have an idea. Create a table border in the
desired color and width, then select the interior cells and style the
borders of those cells to match the background color.
HOMEWORK 6: (reviewed by Patricia Veuve )
Add at least 2 flash text and 2 flash buttons to either existing or new linked pages of your hw site. On one of the pages that uses flash text, explain one advantageof using flash text in your DW file. Make the links of these flash text and flash buttons live and active links.
They can either be links to named anchors or external URLs. Link these
buttons to your homework.html page so I can find them. Read the
Macromedia Technote about Flash Text that was referenced in this Lesson.
Storyboard Proposal for Final Site Upload the proposal
as an .html page on your server and link the proposal.html page to the
zzz.html AND your homework.html page. Include subject, content, planned
navigation, do a quick flow chart if you like or explain the flow,
theme, colors, purpose, target audience, etc.
If you have not yet toyed with SimpleViewer, please consider adding that for this assignment.
Submit a description of your final project, including a storyboard (ideally graphical, but a rich outline format will do.)
